Ulster Weavers new Gnomes design takes its inspiration from Traditional Gnomes, or Tomte, originating in Sweden and Norway. The story goes that they worked around the family farm and looked after the Children and Animals. The design within the Gnomes outfits were inspired by retro fairisle jumper patterns adding the illusion of texture, and a sense of cosiness to the design. The reduced colour palette creates a simple, timeless look, while the silver metallic ink adds a sense of elegance, sparkle and a touch of glamour.
